Harrie Knoef

Senior Bioenergy Consultant

  • Harrie Knoef is a seasoned bioenergy specialist with over 30 years of global experience in the design, construction, and operation of bioenergy and CHP systems, including field assignments in Asia.
  • He has deep expertise in biomass conversion, project development, due diligence, and energy finance, supporting both industrial and public-sector clients.
  • He has led numerous EU-funded initiatives and formerly headed BTG’s Project Engineering & Implementation unit. Harrie is also the author of the well-regarded Handbook on Biomass Gasification, widely used across the biomass energy sector.
  • He continues to advise on projects integrating carbon credits, energy efficiency, and sustainable power generation.

Cathy Schulze Hsu

She is conversant in PLC/SCADA systems, process control, and smart plant integration. Having led automation for turnkey infrastructure projects, she delivers high-reliability systems tailored to real-time operations. Her expertise extends to Industry 4.0 technologies, including IIoT, AI-based process control, and energy-efficient automation.
